About Number Cryptograms
A number cryptogram (also called an "A1Z26" cipher) is one of the simplest substitution ciphers. Each letter of the alphabet is replaced with its ordinal position: A→1, B→2, C→3, … Z→26. These appear in puzzle books, classroom activities, kids' games, and escape rooms. Our solver decodes them in real time as you type.
