Scoring Tips for Scrabble & WWF
- Base scores don't include board multipliers. A Double Word Score square doubles your entire play. Place Q or Z on a Triple Letter Score to multiply their 10 points.
- 7-tile bingo = 50 bonus points. Using all 7 tiles in one play earns a 50-point bonus in Scrabble (35 in WWF). This is often the difference between winning and losing.
- Q words without U are gold. QI, QOPH, QIGONG, and TRANQ are all valid Scrabble words — and they score 11+ base points each.
- S tiles are underrated. An S scores only 1 point but can pluralise almost any word, letting you hook onto existing board plays.
- Blank tiles score 0 but have infinite value. Use blanks to enable bingos, not just to complete ordinary short words.
